Live music and dancing to enjoy later this week

January 15, 2013 by

The Square Dance with the New Apolcalypsonians is a “learn to dance” beginners workshop that encourages new guests to show up early and get a little free instruction on the basics, so they can have fun dancing the rest of the night away. This is a great fun, family event, which has no doubt been the subject of promotional flyer printing in the area.

The workshop section of this evening event begins before the actual dancing portion of the night. New learners will receive all the basics they require to twirl around the dance floor later in the evening. Families are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy some tasty pizza and stay until the evening break, which takes place at 9:00 pm. This event is open to all ages, so it is a chance to bring the family and friends and have a safe and fun evening out.

Although this event is open to all, IDs will be checked to ensure children do not get alcoholic beverages. The band performing, The New Apocalypsonians, plays a wide variety of world-hillbilly music and is known to be very entertaining.

Admission is $5 per person, although Amvets members will get in free. The Square Dance with the New Apocalypsonians will be happening this Thursday, January 17, from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at the Amvets Preston Post Number 9 located at 1567 S. Shelby Street in Louisville, Kentucky. To learn more about this exciting dance evening, please call 502-637-1900.
