On Saturday, April 14th, the Art Sparks Family Studio will be presenting “Impressionism” at the Speed Art Museum. The Speed Art Museum is located at 2035 S. Third Street in Louisville, Kentucky. This event is scheduled to take place between 12pm and 3pm.

The Art Sparks is designed to ignite creative juices and this award winning gallery, which is an interactive experience, enables the whole family to explore artistic adventures together. After leaving this event, the guest will be able share experiences, have more confidence, and be excited about their achievements. Kids will experience drawing, painting, cutting, and gluing in one of the many hands-on rooms in the gallery using top of the line art materials. This event encourages guests to “Go Crazy” and creates whatever they want to.

Block art is also encouraged and block of every size, shape, and color will be available for guests to experiment with. The video art segment encourages guests to jump high and see themselves in freeze frame. Even children under the age of five are encouraged to come out and try “Planet Preschool”, which is a room filled with textures, colors, and shapes. And after all this creativity, guests are asked to “Go Dutch” and create a pancake and cheese sandwich, called a “Mock Oyster” to enjoy.

Local companies, including print companies, may have donated some of the fine resources found at this event. The event is free to all, although children should be accompanied by an adult. For more information on this event, please call 502-634-2700.
