Grant money offered to Louisville nonprofit organizations
August 24, 2013 by Mark
Applications are now being accepted for the Fund for Louisville Grants Program.
This new program is being offered by the Community Foundation and applications will be accepted now through September 30.
An information session was held earlier this week at the foundation offices located at 325 West Main Street, Louisville.
A total of $250,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations to support their building needs. Applicants need to be a 501(c)3, 509(a)1 or 509(a)2 organization, and can receive up to $25,000. They need to be located in the metropolitan area of Jefferson County, Kentucky.
The goal of the Lift a Life Foundation and the Community Foundation is to help existing nonprofits improve their current programs, incubate new ideas that previously lacked funding, and finance innovative new approaches for their existing services, thereby reducing the number of them that have to put expansion plans on hold due to funding only allowing them to complete their established programs.
Expansion schemes can include board development and assessment, communications, marketing, restructuring, back office operations, staff development and training, technology (including both hardware and software), and strategic planning.
Additional information sessions will be held at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm, on August 22 at the foundation facilities. Organizations are limited to sending one representative for one time slot only. All applications must be submitted online.
