Next week, award-winning author and teacher Bonnie Hunter will be in London as part of an informative event being held by the Laurel County Homemaker Club and the Mountain Laurel Quilters.

For people who love to quilt or want to learn more about it, this lecture and presentation looks set to be an ideal point of reference. No doubt organizers will be attempting to reach out to locals through services like flyer printing.

Hunter, will speak about and demonstrate her quilting style and show examples of her various quilt patterns and pieces. On the second day, an all day workshop will be held to share information with guests on how to work with the pattern ‘Love Shack’. Guests will learn how to piece all those wonky numbers and letters together to create a wonderful quilt.

Tickets cost $5 per person in advance and $10 per person if purchased at the door. Parking is available and there is no charge to do so. The class size is limited to 50, so registering in advance is recommended.

The event will be taking place on Wednesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 13 at the Jackson Energy Center located at 177 Barbourville Road in London, Kentucky. To check the schedule or to register, please visit the Mountain Laurel Quilters Club website or call 606-231-3543.
