The ‘Pickin’ for the Kids Bluegrass Concert’ is something to look forward to tomorrow, taking place at the Optimist Sports Complex located at West Highway 80 in London, Kentucky. This bluegrass bonanza will start at 10:00 am and run until the early evening hours.

This is the 3rd annual appearance of this concert, which is sponsored by the Laurel Optimist Club. This year’s lineup includes such groups as Custom Made Bluegrass, The Letterbox Boys, the Laurel Mountain Boys, the Moron Brothers, Straight Creek, the Dean Osborne Band, Laurel River Line, Tidal Wave Road, and Dodgewood Ridge. A schedule of the times these acts are playing is available on the Laurel Optimist’s Facebook page.

Proceeds from this event are to go to the Needy Family program that takes place during the Christmas season. All tickets sold at this concert will be entered into a draw and the winning ticket holder will receive a 2012 1032 Tracker Jon Boat donated by Tracker Boat Company.

With lots of other entertainment happening in the complex as well, this promises to be a superb family event. Being an outdoor concert, the audience is reminded to dress appropriately and bring hats and sunscreen. To promote this event to music fans, it is not unlikely that digital flyer printing and poster printing has been used to promote this fundraising concert to the residents of the community and surrounding area.
