Wildside Winery presents Winter, Wine and Chocolate
January 17, 2013 by Sarah
The Winter, Wine and Chocolate event will be hosted by Wildside Winery later this month, featuring gourmet locally-made chocolates paired with the special wines produced at Wildside Winery. Pairings will include eight wine samplings with eight chocolates at a price of $10 per person. Reservations are required.
Located in the Lexington area, Wildside Winery was purchased by Neil and Rachel Vasilakes in 1997. At that time, it was just a 30-acre farm with beautiful scenery. The Vasilakes’ planted grapes, berries, and other fruit and, soon thereafter, the winery was created.
With over 20 types of wine, Wildside Winery is also known in the region for its unique and fine berry wines, which include strawberry, blackberry, and blueberry from Kentucky fruit. The winery does not add juice or other flavorings to the wine, as they want to present complete flavor from the fruit.
Wildside Winery also offers nine dry red wines, ranging from a mellow medium to very dry. White wines including Seyval Blanc and Chardonnay are also served.
The winery offers many events, usually consisting of some sort of wine-tasting coupled with other activities. Wineries across the country frequently use local print services to prepare marketing pieces to distribute via display sources, direct mail, and onsite. Brochure printing provides a very effective method of advertising products and events for wineries.
