A memorial concert to benefit the Kevin Johnson Memorial Fund will be held next weekend at Natasha’s Bistro & Bar.

The benefit will begin at 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, and will feature some of Lexington’s top acts, including Jim Gleason, The Patrick McNeese Band’s Tom Martin and Maggie Lander, John Knight of Ozone, and Autumn Ridge’s Jason Sills.

Admission is $5 and goes to the memorial fund. The bistro is located at 112 Esplanade Alley Lexington. For more information, call (859) 259-2754.

On Saturday, the bistro will host the Mitch Barrett and the Misty Mountain String Band at 8:00 pm. The band will perform Appalachian folk music and bluegrass.

There is also a chance to take a break from the music and experience bronze sculptures and paintings at the Living Arts and Science Center, 362 N. Martin Luther King Blvd., Lexington. The art pieces are the works of two professors from the Western Kentucky University who used the process to inspire their work. Brochure printers can help museums showcase their exhibits, artwork, and artists in a format that makes it easy for patrons to learn about their favorite works of art.

The exhibit will be open from 8:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 2.

Lastly, locals can go a different direction altogether and enjoy a brunch with the Queens on Sunday, December 22, at 10:30 am at Natasha’s Bar & Bistro. These female impersonators are nationally recognized entertainers who give a lively performance during brunch and lunch.
