Halloween Festival sets scene for an eerie weekend
October 25, 2012 by Mark
Guests are invited to bring the children and come on down to a weekend event that offers loads of fun and the opportunity to dress up and enjoy the other ghosts and goblins.
The Boo Dell Halloween Festival is co-sponsored by Yew Dell Botanical Gardens and the Old County Public Library and is bound to offer a good time to all the children and their parents. It is the perfect opportunity to dust the mothballs off the old Halloween costume and enjoy a ‘non-spooky’ Halloween celebration, featuring trick-or-treats hidden along the ‘trail-o-treats’ from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm while parents visit the dozens of merchants dressed for the occasion with decorated booths spread throughout the gardens.
Mr. Magic will be performing between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, dazzling the children with his majestic powers. Everyone can partake in an exciting hay ride and then bring a pumpkin to decorate and make into their favorite book character, before entering it into the Book-O-Lantern Contest.
Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise the Boo Dell Halloween Festival to all the children and parents in the community and surrounding communities. Admission is free and there should be something for everybody to enjoy.
The celebration will be held this Saturday, October 27, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens located at 6220 Old LaGrange Road in Crestwood, Kentucky, down the road from Louisville. For additional details, please visit the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens website or call during business hours.
