Sounds of the big bands coming to Kentucky

June 13, 2013 by

Tonight, Carmon DeLeone and the New Studio Big Band will provide entertainment for all those who love big band music from the Count Basie and Glen Miller era.

During this evening performance there will be many great numbers performed from an all-star crew. Poster printing, flyer printing, and brochure printing by local printing companies could have been used to promote this special night to people in this area.

Most people remember the big band names, but may not have stopped to consider such acts as Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Sting, Eddie Van Halen, and Maroon Five as big band groups. This evening performance is sure to change that thinking as their hits are performed by 17 expert musicians and led by the always surprising and celebrated Carmon DeLeone on the drums.

The performance will take guests on a unique and surprising jazz journey through the odyssey of big band numbers and groups. Guests are sure to find themselves humming and tapping along to the tunes of a time from long ago.

Tickets for the evening are $19 per person. The performance will be happening tonight, June 13, starting at 7:30 pm at the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center located at 1028 Scott Blvd. in Covington, Kentucky, just down the road from Florence. To learn more about this evening, or to buy tickets, please visit the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center website or call the box office at 859-491-2030 during normal hours.
