Harlem Globetrotters set to shake Newport

April 17, 2013 by

Poster printing has no doubt been in operation to promote the arrival of the renowned Harlem Globetrotters to residents in the community of Newport, as well as surrounding communities, such as Florence.

This year, the Globetrotters are celebrating their 85th anniversary of touring and performing around the world and promise an exceptional basketball game to the audiences that view them. Discount ticket prices are available for Northern Kentucky University (NKU) faculty, staff, and students – none of whom are likely to forget this performance

The Harlem Globetrotters started as a team led by Tommy Brookins on the south side of Chicago back in the 1920s. After renaming themselves to the New York Harlem Globetrotters, they started touring with their performance in Iowa and Illinois.

Today, the Harlem Globetrotters form an organization that grows larger with each passing year. Known around the world, the Globetrotters have performed in front of everyone, including popes and presidents, and have broken their own world records for their famous “slam dunk heights” many times.

The cost to attend this event varies depending on the seating selection chosen. The Harlem Globetrotters are set to sink some baskets in Newport this Friday, April 19, starting at 7:00 pm at the Northern Kentucky University located at 1 Louie B Nunn Drive in Highland Heights, Kentucky, just down the road from Florence. To order tickets, please visit The Bank of Kentucky website or call the box office at 859-292-2890 from Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
