Fast-paced action rolls into the rink

July 8, 2013 by

A night of hard-hitting roller derby action is on its way to Florence in less than two weeks’ time.

These Black and Bluegrass Roller Girls will play two bouts played against teams from other communities. Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing by local printing companies are probably being used to advertise the evening to people in this community.

For people who love roller derby, or have yet to experience this fast paced action, this evening event will provide plenty of hard-hitting entertainment and a great floor show between the two scheduled bouts. As well as taking part in these competitive bouts, the team also raises awareness about various environmental and community efforts. The girls therefore often ask their loyal fans to get on board and support their efforts both on and off the track.

Owned by the skaters, the goal of the league is to promote the independent spirit of women in this community. An entertaining team to watch, this evening promises to be fun for everyone.

Tickets are $10 in advance from Brown Paper Tickets, or $20 at the door, with children under six admitted free. The Black and Bluegrass Roller Girls bouts will be held on Saturday, July 20, starting in the early evening at the Midwest Sports Complex located at 25 Cavalier Blvd. in Florence, Kentucky. To check the time of the bouts, or to learn more about this exciting group, visit the Black and Bluegrass website or call the Midwest Sports Complex at 850-371-4263.
