Auto-detect program for color printers saves money

Xerox eConcierge is a cloud-based application for both small and medium-sized businesses. It’s easy, convenient and assists in monitoring and re-stocking printer supplies for printers that are networked and for multifunction printers whether they’re Xerox machines or from other manufacturers.
Using Xerox eConierge is simple. It’s accessed online and downloaded to a desktop as an application for PCs or Macs. Once downloaded, the application checks for compatible devices lined to the PC. It measures toner levels, ink and fusers. An automatic message is relayed to users and an order automatically placed online using the appropriate order number.
For those customers that qualify, Xerox is offering an exclusive extended warranty for their products in conjunction with the program, worth approximately $320 per printer, annually.
Any business, whether they have one color printer or a fleet of networked units, will benefit from Zerox eConcierge. The IT director of a California-based car dealership said he believes they save at least $1,000 a year on printer service expenses.
“Like many small businesses we have to use our limited resources wisely and Xerox eConcierge makes that easy to do,” said Phil Collett, IT director, Citrus Motors. “The program allows us to shift our focus away from maintaining our printers to spending time with our customers. The savings, both in time and money, are definitely a plus for our dealership.”
