Annual circus returns to Northern Kentucky

January 29, 2017 by

The 96th annual Syrian Shrine Circus is taking place next month for three days. It is presented by Syrian Shriners, which is a local affiliate of the Shriners of North America.

This is a traditional three-ring circus that will feature performances from high-wire aerial acrobats, animals such as tigers and elephants, and, of course, plenty of clowns to entertain the crowd with their antics. Children in attendance will also have the opportunity to pet and ride donkeys and camels.

The Friday night show will be held at 7:30 pm, while Saturday will have shows at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and the Sunday show will take place at 1:00 pm.

The Shriners of North America hold many different events all over the continent to raise money to support the many Shriners’ hospitals in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

It is likely that this event will attract visitors from surrounding areas such as Florence. A local stationery printing firm may be asked to provide marketing materials such as posters, signs, and banners.

The Syrian Shrine Circus will be held at the BB&T Arena in Newport from February 3 to 5. Ringside tickets are available for $30, while other tickets range from $10 up to $20. Parking at the area is $5. For the latest information about this event or the Syrian Shriners, call 513-751-4717.
