South Dayton Dancers to perform Nutcracker Ballet

November 13, 2012 by

One of the most loved ballets, the “Nutcracker Ballet” will be performed by the South Dayton Dancers on stage this holiday season. The Nutcracker is a story that all families will love and this is a great way to introduce children to the magic of the ballet with its great music and movement.

This story is about two children, Fritz and Clara, who spend Christmas Eve in a beautifully decorated home awaiting the arrival of guests. When the guests do arrive, the real Christmas party begins and the dances of celebration are held, until a mysterious guest, dressed in dark clothing, arrives and frightens Fritz, although Clara is aware that it is really Godfather Drosselmeyer, the toymaker who brings the children at the party wonderful gifts. Clara receives the best gift of all time – the Nutcracker Doll, which makes her brother jealous and so he steals the doll and plays toss with other children at the party, until the doll falls and breaks. The story continues from here…

Brochure printing, flyer printing, and poster printing are just some of the popular methods to advertise and promote this sort of performance to members of local and surrounding communities. Tickets are $20 per adult and $15 per child under 12. The Nutcracker Ballet is being performed on Saturday, December 1 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 2 at 2:00 pm at the Dayton Convention Center located at 22 E. 5th Street in Dayton, Ohio, about one hour from Erlanger, Kentucky.
