Oar-some event to make a splash in May

The 8th Annual Children’s Hospital Dragon Boat Festival has been scheduled in May at the TVA Park in Erlanger. The event is a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital Foundation and supports the efforts of the institution providing health care and happiness for the young people.

The goal for 2014 is to raise $284,000, and a special fundraising page has been set up through the event website. Authentic Hong Kong-style boats in the 46-foot range are used by community and corporate teams for racing. Competition is friendly and adrenaline pumping, and all skill levels are welcome provided that participants that are at least 15 years old.

Local print companies will often assist with materials needed to promote fundraising events like this. Poster printing is a common request, as the poster serves well for communicating the pertinent details about an event. Normally printed in full color with a glossy finish, posters can be hung on flat surfaces indoors or outdoors for foot traffic to view as it passes by.

The Children’s Hospital Foundation focuses on building public awareness and cultivating partnerships for philanthropic efforts. The partnerships are meant to create medical excellence while serving the needs of families and children in the region. Sponsors are being sought as well are an integral part of ensuring success for fundraising events.
