Erlanger set for May splashdown

It’s a case of “paddles up”, for kids at least, in just over a month’s time.
Funds raised from the activities will benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation which in turn supports the efforts of the hospital. Providing health care for the young patients at the hospital is the motive behind the goal of reaching $248,400 in the fundraising efforts.
Using a Hong Kong-style vessel of nearly 50 feet in length, the various corporate and community teams will participate in a fun and challenging cultural racing event. Anyone 15 years or older, regardless of skill levels, is encouraged to join in the fun. It is all about the timing and the stroke synchronization.
The race provides funds to serve over 40,000 children expected to be treated at the Children’s Hospital this year. If each team can set a goal to raise $190 per team member, a dime will be raised for every child at the hospital.
The event will take place on May 3. Visit the website for further information.
