Special night with the Brentano Spring Quartet

On Thursday, April 5th, 2012 the Norton Center for the Arts will be hosting the Brentano String Quartet. The Norton Center for the Arts, in Center College, is located at 600 W. Walnut Street, in Danville, KY. As the poster printing says, this event is being sponsored by the Centre College’s Humanities Fund. This event starts at 7:30 pm.
Since 1999, the Brentano String Quartet has been a resident fixture at Princeton University and has been honored by receiving the Royal Philharmonic Aware as the Most Outstanding Debut Quartet. At this event, the Brentano String Quartet will be performing Bach’s final “Art of Fugue” contrapunctus, as well as a Bussoni’s string quartet no. 2, Op. 130 with “Grosse Fugue finale, and Beethoven’s String Quartet in B-flat major.
Brentano String Quartet has made many appearances around the world and is popular and critically acclaimed and has performed in the world’s most recognized and prestigious venues and facilities, including the one and only Carnegie Hall and the prestigious Sydney Opera House.
This quartet is considered one of the most superb in the world. During its first tour of Europe, this group was proclaimed as having rich chamber music from the start of the performance to the end proving the performers to be the most superb of the most recent generation of string quartets.
Tickets for this event, no matter the seating selection, will be less than $75.00, but must be purchased through the box office between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm weekdays.
