Market to help support troops
September 7, 2012 by Sarah
Crescent Springs, as a community, adopted Army 101st Airborne, 1st Division, the 320th Field Artillery Regiment located in Fort Campbell, Kentucky in the year 2006. As part of this community, an assortment of fundraising activities is used to raise the funds that assist the troops through various support systems.
A large indoor flea market has been organized to add to the fundraising efforts and will take place tomorrow, September 8. The team who organized this event is asking people to bring in electronics, games, small appliances, books, tools, toys, children’s clothing, and household items for donation.
Before leaving items, donors are asked to ensure they are in great working order. All clothing should be in good condition and laundered if possible. As part of this fundraising event, people will be asked to return to the facility later this month to shop for gently-used items that can be used around their own homes as if they were new purchases. This fundraising event is free to the public and everyone is welcome to come out and do their share with supporting the Army 101st Airborne troops.
Flyer printing and poster printing were probably used to advertise and promote this great fundraising opportunity to troop-supporting members of the community and surrounding areas. This event will take place on Saturday, September 8 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Crescent Springs City Building located at 739 Buttermilk Pike in Crescent Springs, Kentucky. For more information about item pick up or drop off, please visit the Crescent Springs website or call 859-341-3017.
