Weekend chance to explore wine and surfing

August 5, 2013 by

It is nearly time for the 10th annual Rosenthal Private Estate Tour, which will include a wine tasting and picnic lunch at the Rosenthal Malibu estate, 29000 Newton Canyon Road in Malibu, which is less than 30 minutes from Woodland Hills.

The picnic includes a salad, sandwich, and cookie. It is, however, an over-21s event only event, as the focus will be on wine tasting.

Besides being a vineyard owner, George Rosenthal is also a movie studio pioneer, real estate tycoon, and hotel mogul. The event will be held rain or shine but, due to the hilly terrain, high heels are not recommended and guests are advised to dress appropriately.
Gates will open 10 minutes prior to the event, which takes place 1,400 feet above the coastline and gets underway at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 10. For more information, call (310) 451.7600

For a more relaxing retreat, locals can learn to surf at the Into the Fire Surf Retreat at 10:30 am this Saturday at Trancas Beach, 30600 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

In addition to surfing, the retreat will also help leaders identify their style and effectiveness by deciphering their successes and failures. They will also learn how to maintain high performance and handle stress, as well as balance life and work.

The retreat is limited to those aged 18 and older, and will be led by Gary Mahler and Karen Pery, the creators of the retreat. Postcard printing is a great and economical way to notify business professionals of upcoming events like these.
