June 21, 2012 by Sarah
Project Cowboy contender Jenny Sherbo will appear on the reality TV show during February 2013. Jenny was the winner of the 2012 Western States Horse Expo held in West Sacramento, California. During the competition, Jenny demonstrated patriotism at its best with her freestyle that captured the hearts of every audience member.
American Quarter Horse Association is the sponsor of Project Cowboy, which is a curious mix of America’s Got Talent and American Idol. Horse-riding men and women are given the chance to showcase their talents, both in front of a TV camera and on horseback. Competitions have been held for cowboys and cowgirls to display their horsemanship skills, which will be shown on the reality program on RFD-TV next year. The show will be largely publicized nearer to the time of airing, possibly with the use of local printing services.
Sherbo attributes her success with horses to the passion, respect, and dedication whixh she demonstrates to all her horses. Western Horseman and AQHA are the presenters of Project Cowboy, with the very first Project Cowboy being held in Fort Worth, Texas in 2010. Patti Colbert and Tootie Bland wanted to keep the show as a reality program, inviting 40 cowgirls to the Sacramento Horse Expo show. According to Bland and Colbert, a smaller number of competitors makes for far better viewing than having hundreds of contestants to follow.
Jenny Sherbo is a Top Ten finalist for Project Cowboy and is sure to have West Sacramento-based watchers glued to their screens when the show is aired in 2013.
