Among other things coming up in the area, Vallejo residents will want to travel to the Harbor Theater to see ‘The Three Musketeers’.

Viewers can follow the tale of a young man as he struggles through duels while making the acquaintance of the three musketeers and battling the notorious Cardinal Richelieu. The production is directed by Edward Hightower and is adapted from the novel by author Alexandre Dumas.

Solano College’s theater department gives students the opportunity to work with regional theater professionals in all aspects of the genre and has produced award-winning presentations for more than 220 years.

The presentation of this famous tale will be performed by the Solano College Theatre Department Thursday, April 18 – May 5. Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for seniors and military and $20 for general admission.

In a few weeks’ time, there is a chance to from fantasy to reality with Future Friday at the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland. The speaker is Dr. Felisa Wolf-Simon, a NASA Astrobiology Research Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, so there is plenty to draw attention to as part of any promotion flyer printing being carried out.

Dr. Wolf-Simon works with molecular biology, physiology, and biochemistry to answer biogeochemistry questions. Speakers on May 10, 2013 include Jim Capobianco, Kevin O’Brien, and Derek Thompson of Pixar Animation Studios. The science center is located at 10000 Skyline Blvd., Oakland.

Admission is $20 for members and $23 for guests. For tickets and information call (510) 336-7373. Proceeds from sales help to support the educational programming at Chabot.
