Vallejo folk encouraged to head outdoors
December 9, 2013 by Max
Vallejo residents have the unique opportunity to take photos at Cline Cellars Estate during a photography workshop and tour later this week.
This workshop will begin at 8:00 am this Thursday, December 12, and will give photographers the opportunity to practice taking photos outdoors in the 350-acre winery, and in low level light inside.
Photo locations include Syrah Hill with a 180-degree view of the surrounding area, including Mt. Diablo and the Mayacamas Mountains. There will be plenty to photograph on the vineyard grounds, including 5,000 rose bushes, flowerbeds, six ponds, willow trees, and several historic buildings – for example, an 1850s farmhouse now houses the tasting room.
The workshop will be led by professional photographers who will give hands-on instruction in various techniques designed to produce the best photos. Live models will be available in the various locations.
Participants should wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothing, and must be aged 21 or older. A gourmet boxed lunch is included in the price of the workshop.
The winery is located at 24737 Arnold Drive in Sonoma. For more information, call (707) 940-4000.
As well as this, adults and children can get a jumpstart on fitness and get into shape with a martial arts class at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, at the City Recreational Center, 2185 Elliott Drive in American Canyon.
The class is taught by Professor Jesse Cheyenne Corpus; a certified black belt holder. Children will be taught safety self-defense tactics. Flyer printing makes it easy to notify residents and students of upcoming events like these.
