Last chance to donate shoes

February 26, 2013 by

The ‘All Walks of Life’ Shoe Drive will be ending later this week, so this is the last chance to check the closets for all those unused shoes and give them a new life on someone else’s feet.

Acceptable shoes will be new or slightly worn tennis shoes and boots (please bag separately), ladies’, men’s, and children’s dress shoes and sandals. All shoes should come with their matching pair. Shoes will be given to the homeless.

Donations may be dropped off at the Global Center for Success, 1055 Azuar Drive, Mare Island in Vallejo between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm no later than this Thursday, February 28. For more information on this program, or to make a donation, call (707) 562-5673.

Also coming up soon to the Global Center for Success is the Mayor’s annual Prayer Breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 am on March.

The breakfast is a fundraiser that will benefit services to the homeless which are provided by the Global Center for Success. The breakfast will be held in the Dan Foley Cultural Center located at 1461 North Camino Alto in Vallejo.

The Global Center for Success provides training, support, and life skills to at-risk populations which include the homeless, seniors, young adults, low-income earners, re-entry individuals, and the working poor. Each year, the demand for services grows and so does the funds needed to help these people.

Many companies use digital business cards to stay in touch with donors and volunteers in the community as well as local businesses.
