Working with color reproduction is a crucial do-or-die skill that bedevils not only print companies, but also, graphic designers and photographers. Printing Industries of America (PIA) is presenting a Webinar to help professionals in the industry get a handle on accurate color correction.
This is a wonderful opportunity for local print industry professionals in the Vallejo area to obtain valuable information about Photoshop color correction and to master the skills they need for success. The webinar will teach:
*How to assess color image problems
*How to select the most effective tools when adjusting and correcting color images
*How to insure that image colors accurately transition from screen to print
*How to achieve the best possible color reproduction in the fewest number of steps
*How to achieve the best possible color reproduction on the first try each and every time
*How to achieve genuine fleshtones
Webinar presenter is Joseph Marin, Senior Instructor and Manager of Training Programs for PIA, a graphic arts trade association that provides local and national resources for the printing industry. During the webinar, participants download the same image files and work along with Mr. Marin step-by-step as he explains the intricacies of CMYK, tone reproduction, gray balance, and color correction. Participants will also receive a handy reference tool, the American Color Correction Tip Sheet from the PIA.
Sponsored by Ricoh, the webinar is scheduled for February 23, 2012 at 2 PM Eastern Time. This event is free for members of the PIA. For non-members, the fee is $99.
