Just a short jaunt from Vallejo is a chance to enjoy great food and fashion at the Culinary Crawl to be held at 5:00 pm tomorrow evening (June 27) at the Cake Plate, 1000 Main Street in Napa.

This event will feature the culinary best of Napa in both food and wine tasting and includes several stops at local boutiques and the Chef’s Market. Tickets are only $45 at the door and include food tastings along the walking tour.

For those who need a little help losing the weight after the crawl, a free overview of the RESET program, a weight loss program, will be held at 6:00 pm tomorrow at Seven Hills School, 975 North San Carlos Drive in Walnut Creek.

This is a scientifically designed weight loss program that will help participants to develop a healthier lifestyle. The program also teaches participants how to detox their body through nutrition.

Finally, moms and dads can learn how to become better parents at the three-day Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator Training, which will be held from 9:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Children’s Nurturing Project, 490 Chadbourne Road in Fairfield.

The cost of this program is $295 and it will be taught by Jessica Knutson and Laurie Andres. Lunch will be held from noon to 1:00 pm each day. The course includes hands on activities, videos, and assessments. A local printing company can help to create teaching supplies for educators.
