Madrona Marsh to offer ‘Moonlight Magic’

September 13, 2012 by

An auction, live music, and great food will be highlights of ‘Moonlight Magic’ – a fundraising event for Madrona Marsh Preserve in Torrance.

The upcoming event will be held on the preserve under the light of a full moon. Live music will be provided by The Vipers, playing classic rock music, and dinner will be catered by the Red Car Brewery, consisting of grilled chicken and a pulled pork sandwich with all the sides, cookies for dessert, and beer by Red Car Brewery, as well as wine by Naked Grape Wines and Peets Coffee.

Guests can bid on a variety of times at the live and silent auctions. Included among the bid items are a tour by air in Steve McQueen’s plane, snorkeling off Palos Verdes with Madrona Marsh naturalist Daniel Marion, and a week in Palm Springs at a tennis club resort.

The cost of the event is $50 and tickets may be purchased at the Madrona Marsh Nature Center, either with cash or by check, at Wild Birds Unlimited in Rolling Hills Plaza, or online at the Madrona Marsh website.

The non-profit group Friends of Madrona Marsh was created over 30 years ago as the fundraising arm of Madrona Marsh Preserve.

For more information on the event, call (310) 782-3989. Preserve hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Tuesday – Sunday. Many non-profits use postcard printing and flyer printing services as a way to solicit donors and alert subscribers to fundraising events.

This year’s ‘Moonlight Magic’ will be held from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Saturday, September 29.
