Jubilee rolls into LA
May 24, 2012 by Mark
For the third year in a row, a major portion of Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles will be closed for a street festival known as the Jubilee; LA’s premier food, music, and arts festival. This area, which is located about 25 miles north of Torrance, CA, is a part of the Silver Lake district. The Jubilee will run from 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm this Saturday, May 26, 2012. The Memorial Day weekend celebrations, however, will continue as the festival will recommence at 12:00 pm on Sunday, concluding at 10:00 pm.
The Jubilee will be featuring bands, artists, literature, comedy, shopping, and food trucks, all of which are representative of the city’s finest selection of the arts. To advertize their services, identify their products, and label their wares, vendors could greatly benefit from business card printing , as it could result in an increase in post-festival attention to their foods, services, and entertainment.
General admission tickets, ranging from $20-$35, must be purchased by participants who are between the ages of 13 and 59. Children 12 and under, along with senior citizens who are 60 and older, will be admitted free of charge. While supplies last, Jubilee T-shirts or Totes, along with weekend passes, may be purchased online. As a word to the wise, the T-shirts and Totes are limited edition items and they are expected to sell rapidly.
In addition to the Jubilee, at the intersection of Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards, there is going to be a free community block party. The public is invited to come out and celebrate the arts.
