Business to bear fruit in October

October 18, 2013 by

Torrance and Redondo Beach residents have the opportunity this October to ‘Host a House Party for a Sick and Homeless Kid.’

Residents can make a homeless child happier this year with the small donation of a new or used teddy bear. Each house party sponsor is asked to collect bears and a $10 per person entry fee, which will be donated to the Mercy Mission Bear Hospital and Adoption Agency to be given to sick and homeless children throughout the valley.

Mercy Mission is located at 3701 Inglewood Avenue in Redondo Beach. For more information on this October 21 event, contact Dr. Marcia Ann Mims Coppertino at (424) 634-9615.

A workshop for design professionals will also be held at 9:00 am on Monday, October 21, at the Smog Shoppe located at 2651 South La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles.

This is a workshop designed to help inspire professionals through the use of “cross pollination” by drawing on non-traditional sources for inspiration. The workshop is led by Lawrence Azerrad from LADesign.

Lastly, business owners can expand their businesses through the use of virtual assistants. Beyond Business LIVE will show business owners how to get more done with less effort by using outside resources to expand their network.

The event begins at 9:00 am on Monday, October 21, at the Westin Los Angeles, 5400 West Century Boulevard in Los Angeles. For events like this, digital business cards are the way to go when it comes to staying in touch with donors, business owners, and other professionals.
