Annual holiday festival to raise funds for medical center

Torrance Memorial’s 29th annual Holiday Festival will be held across six days, from late November to early December, at the hospital, 3330 Lomita Boulevard, Torrance.
Highlights of the festival include a fashion show on Tuesday, November 27, for which tickets are $125 per person, a dinner gala on Friday, November 30, and a lunch with Santa on Sunday, December 2, with tickets priced at $10 per person.
Holiday activities include photos with Santa (so guest should remember to bring a camera) camera), cookie decorating with cookies provided by Torrance Bakery, face painting, and food court.
Live entertainment will be provided daily by local organizations. Over 30 decorated wreaths and trees, themed and decorated by volunteers, will be available for purchase and there will be plenty of handcrafted and holiday gift items for sale in the boutique.
Seniors can enjoy free admission from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, November 28 and 29. Raffle tickets for a 2013 Lexus ES 300h Hybrid are one for $50, three for $100, or five for $150.
Proceeds from the festival will go towards construction of the new patient tower. The festival began 28 years ago as a fundraiser by the Las Amigas and raised $10,000. Last year’s event attracted more than 5,000 participants and raised over $14.5 million.
