The Old Town Temecula Community Theatre, located at 42051 Main Street, Temecula, has a number of interesting events on offer over the next few weeks. First up is ‘Once Upon A Time,’ presented by Temecula Valley Cathy’s Dance company. This event will showcase jazz, tap, and lyrical dances from ages two to adult. Also presented will be an adaptation of the ballet ‘Coppelia.’
Performance dates for ‘Once Upon A Time’ are 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm on July 28 – 29. Tickets are $15 in advance and on $18 the day of the show. All ticket sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges.
For those who think that dance is not their style, ‘Phantom’ by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit promises to be entertaining. Presented by Fine Arts Network Theatre Company, this show, based on Gaston Leroux’s novel, has been produced more than 1,000 times. The phantom Eric is protected by his father, Carriere, in the bowels of the Opera House. A musical genius, he discovers the beautiful voice of ingénue, Christine Daae. Daae’s desire to advance in the theater is thwarted by the jealous Carlotta angering the phantom. Performances dates are August 2 – 5, 9 – 12, and 17 – 19.
Tickets are $25 balcony, $28 parterre, and $33 orchestra. Thursdays are discounted at $16 balcony, $18 parterre, and $20 orchestra. Theaters often use a printing company to print their tickets and brochures, which are often kept as souvenirs. For more information, call the theater at (866) 653-8696.
