Temecula folks have the opportunity to give back to the community this holiday season by participating in the Toys for Tots 26th annual benefit ride.
Starting at 8:00am at the Veterans Association of North County, revelers can travel through the area for two hours before returning to the Veterans building located at 1617 Mission Avenue in Oceanside.
Toys for Tots collects for distribution to local children in need on a yearly basis, ensuring they have presents to enjoy at Christmas. For those who cannot go on the ride, toy collection sites are available throughout the city, and it may be beneficial to consult the organization’s website for locations.
Afterwards, there is a chance to enjoy some laughs with standup comedian Daniel Tosh performing at the Pechanga Resort, 45000 Pechanga Parkway in Temecula.
Tosh is a particularly popular comedian with the college crowd, having performed at more than 700 campuses. He has appeared on the ‘Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, ‘The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn’, and on Comedy Central and FX channels. Tosh’s performance begins at 8:00pm.
His debut DVD, entitled ‘True Stories I Made Up’ will be released by Comedy Central Records this month. In addition to performing in the United States and Canada, Tosh has taken to the stage in New Zealand and Kilkenny, Ireland at one of the most acclaimed comedy festivals in Europe. Many businesses use banner printing to mark the location of these kinds of special events for residents and visitors.
