Studio City spends evening with Ponti and Vivaldi

May 8, 2017 by

The Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra conducted by Maestro Carlo Ponti will be presenting a performance entitled ‘Viva Vivaldi’ in a couple of weeks.

The performance will begin with the orchestral version of Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune. The next segment will be Antonio Vivaldi’s two concertos – Concerto for Violin and Strings in E, op.8, No.4, R.297, ‘L’Inverno’, and the Concerto for Violin and Strings in G minor, op.8, No.2, R.315, ‘l’Estate’.

The guest violinist will be Roberto Cani, a native of Milan who now resides and teaches in Los Angeles.

After the intermission, the orchestra will play Ludwig von Beethoven’s Symphony no.4 in B-Flat Major, op.60.

This will mark the second year that the orchestra’s music and artistic director Maestro Ponti and the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra have been with the Theatre Raymond Kabbaz.

All of the net profits from these programs go to benefit the music education programs such as those offered in the Music Department of the Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles.

Classic music patrons from here in Studio City will want to mark their calendars for Thursday, May 25. The event will be at the Theatre Raymond Kabbaz, 10361 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles and the curtain will go up at 7:30 pm. Adult tickets will be $30 and student tickets will be $15.
