Stockton set for asparagus extravaganza

For those looking for something unusual yet fun and tasty to look forward to, there will be an opportunity to join the Great Stockton Asparagus Dine Out later this year.

The Dine Out event is scheduled for April 1 – 14 and will feature local restaurants showcasing signature dishes using asparagus grown in the region.

Created by the Stockton Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event gives local asparagus growers an opportunity to work with the city restaurants. By providing fresh produce such as asparagus, the restaurants are able to create unique and delicious dishes for their patrons.

Participants in the Great Stockton Asparagus Dine Out will see the green spears of asparagus in drinks, appetizers, main dishes, and even in desserts. Restaurants wishing to participate in the Dine Out may download the registration form from the event website.

The Stockton Asparagus Festival will take place the week following the Great Stockton Asparagus Dine Out. It will be held in the downtown Stockton waterfront area. Last year, the event attracted over 100,000 people and fundraising efforts benefited local charities. The festival features wine tasting, art exhibits, family activities, and cooking demonstrations.

Festival management companies commonly use local printing services to create materials needed to advertise and promote events. Brochure printing is very effective in advertising festival events in advance. Brochures have six panels when using a tri-fold layout allowing for many images and content areas to promote specific features of the event. Brochures are easily distributed or direct mailed to cover a wide marketing base.

The Visit Stockton website contains complete information about both events.
