Surf Dog Competition to snarl into action
April 29, 2013 by Sarah
The Lowes Coronado Bay Surf Dog Competition will take place in about two months’ time at the Imperial Beach.
The event is expected to draw 40 surf dogs, along with many spectators from across the country. The San Diego region and nearby communities such as Sorrento Valley and La Jolla will participate in the event. This Southern California area is known for its two-legged surfers and will now feature furry canine friends showing off their water skills.
Many activities and programs will take place in addition to the surf competition. ‘Unleashed by Petco Dog Park’ will offer the opportunity to meet trainers, and play games with various fetch toys.
Puppy Massage and People Massage will include therapists offering massages for the very tired surf dogs at the end of their competitions.
Lowes is well-known for its award-winning ‘Lowes Loves Pets’ program and is a major contributor and fundraiser for various non-profit organizations. This is the second year that the surfing event will benefit ASPCA.
Printing services are frequently needed to help market and promote events of this type. Banner printing provides directional tools for guiding traffic on foot and in cars to specific locations. Flyer printing, meanwhile, helps advertise the event in advance.
The event has attracted several national sponsors including Petco, Blue, Paws Aboard, Banfield Pet Hospital, Coronado Surfing Academy, the Honest Kitchen, and Frank Subaru. Anyone interested in volunteering for this event of becoming a sponsor should contact the management of the event. Complete details and contact information is available via the entity’s website. It will be held on June 22.
