Art at the heart of San Diego September
August 22, 2012 by James
San Diego is gearing up for the fourth annual Art San Diego Contemporary Art Fair. Neighborhoods within the vast San Diego region, such as Sorrento Valley and La Jolla, will have many people attending and participating in the event as well.
The event takes place at Balboa Park each day, which is a new venue for the event. Balboa is famous for its 1200 acres rich in culture and recreation. The park offers museums, performing arts, restaurants, and gardens.
The event drew over 8,000 attendees last year, including curators, museum directors, collectors, and art patrons. The fair has become one of the largest in attendance for any similar cultural event in the region.
‘New Art City’ is the theme for the 2012 fair and represents a new and unique method of art fair expression. There will be four districts representing different artistic disciplines, such as contemporary art, contemporary furniture, century/modern, and photography. The social center will offer an opportunity to interact with the artists and vendors.
On September 6, an exclusive VIP Party will provide collectors and visitors an opportunity to peruse and purchase artwork prior the actual public opening. Proceeds will benefit The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
Typically for events of this size and depth, local printing companies are called upon to provide print services such as banner and poster printing. Banners can begreat method of advertising the event, services, and products in a highly visible manner, while poster printing provides the opportunity to place posters throughout the area to promote the event.
Tickets are available on the event website, along with more information.
