What the Dickens is going on in Santa Rosa?

Santa Rosa will host the Dickens Holiday Crafts Fair in the build-up to Christmas this year. Taking place at the Finley Community Center, the event poses the perfect opportunity to welcome the holiday season and get some shopping done in a fun setting.

A variety of vendors will be on hand, with buyable items likely to include home goods, holiday décor, bath and body products, food, and hand-crafted gift items. In excess of 70 artists from the local vicinity are scheduled.

A stop-by from Santa is sure to be the highlight of the event for the little ones, and live entertainment will be enjoyed by all. Rosie the Trolley is offering free rides to and from the Crafts Fair and on to the Luther Burbank Home and Gardens Holiday Open House.

Many of the vendors have graciously donated craft items for the prize drawing taking place in the lobby. Visitors should purchase their tickets upon arriving. Prize drawing proceeds will benefit the Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Scholarship fund. The successful event last year raised over $1,000, which was used to provide swimming lessons and summer camp for youth in the area.

The event is scheduled for December 7 and 8. Breakfast and lunch items will be available for purchase, as provided by Bruno’s on Fourth. Snacks such as kettle corn, cookies, and hot beverages will also be available.

Vendors often work with printing companies in preparation for materials needed for festival and events like these, with banner printing being a particularly common project.
