Santa Rosa to don its walking boots

November 28, 2013 by

The annual Walk MS Santa Rosa event has been confirmed to be taking place in May. Participants will help raise funds for the 12,000 people who reside in the community, and money raised will support research and related programs.

Distance options of 5K and 1 mile are available, with support vehicles for accessibility on site. The routes are wheelchair and scooter accessible as well. There is no registration fee for the Walk MS but participants are asked to provide a donation. Should they pledge a total of $100 or more, the participant will receive a Walk MS T-shirt and qualify for prizes throughout the fundraising process.

Volunteers are usually needed for a major event such as this. Communicating the event can be handled through the use of flyers, and anyone interested in volunteering should call 415-230-6678.

Flyer printing is a frequent request for print companies, as they are convenient for distribution. They can be handed out, mailed, or mounted on a flat surface. A qualified printer can assist with the design and production of any type of flyer.

Individuals may participate as well as teams. Walking with co-workers, family members, and friends presents a memorable experience, while also helping raise needed funds. A team can consist of anywhere for four to 400 people.

The 2014 Walk MS Santa Rosa will take place on May 4 starting at the Maria Carrillo High School. Registration opens at 8:00 am and the walk begins at 9:00 am More information and information can be found on the event website.
