Lonesome West comes to life in Santa Rosa

March 21, 2014 by

A weekend play called ‘Lonesome West’ is forming part of the Studio Theatre’s Signature Series. Brochure and postcard printing may have been the methods chosen by the theater to promote this play to people living in the area

As the performance opens, the audience will meet Valene and Coleman, who are brothers and live alone together in the home of their late father. The two of them find it almost impossible to get along without violent and massive disputes over the most ridiculous, innocent, and mundane topics.

Added to the setting is a young local priest, Father Welsh, who aims to reconcile the two men before their bickering leads to serious trouble. All in all, it tells the amusing tale of three men working together in unlikely circumstances.

Tickets cost $20 per adult, $15 per senior or student, and $10 per child. Lonesome West will be on stage on Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 pm at the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa, California. To find out more about this story, or to purchase tickets, please visit the 6th Street Playhouse website or call the box office.

Also currently running at the same venue is a play called ‘Beauty Queen of Leenane’, which tells the story of an interfering mother disrupting a woman’s overdue search for love.
