Dickens Holiday Craft Show coming to Santa Rosa
November 25, 2012 by Mark
Santa Rosa is preparing to welcome the annual Dickens Holiday Craft Show as we move into December. The event is being held at Finley Community Center on West College Avenue.
Visitors should prepare for a festive holiday shopping experience. Over 70 local artists will be featuring their unique gifts and products, including over 20 new vendors. Items will include many handmade crafts, jewelry, soaps, holiday crafted décor, and food specialties.
Santa will be stopping in to meet children and say hello to the adults. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the two-day event and a special feature has been arranged for those riding on Rosie the Trolley to ride for free from the Dickens Holiday Craft Show to the Luther Burbank Home & Gardens Holiday Open House.
Many participating vendors have contributed items for a prize drawing to be held in the front lobby. Proceeds will benefit Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Scholarship Fund. The event managers reported over $1,000 was raised at last year’s show which covered the cost of swim lessons and summer camp for many kids who otherwise would not have been able to attend.
Many vendors at events of this type work with printing companies to order business card printing so they can pass out their cards to help develop future business. Business cards are relatively inexpensive and fast to produce.
The cost to attend the event is $2.00 per person and children under age 12 are free. It takes place next weekend on December 1 and 2. On Saturday, the show will be open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
