June 3, 2012 by James
The Santa Clara County Fair, set to take place August 2 – 5, promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year with its line-up of activities, entertainment, contests, and events. The fair will feature many different contests including arts and crafts, performing arts, and wine competitions for the adults. Several fun events are planned for the young crowd including cutest photo contest, freckles contest, and diaper derby. There will also be a twins contest, as well as a mother-daughter look-a-like contest. Not forgetting the four-legged visitors, a “mutt” contest and dog show will be available as well.
Exhibitors will be displaying their prized animals in the showmanship category. There will be several animal shows, including rabbits, sheep, horses, pigs, goats, and cattle. Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H participants will compete in the various animal categories with their prized stock.
With so many events and contests scheduled for the fair in Santa Clara, print companies will no doubt be very busy providing print services including banners, flyers and brochures along with many orders for business card printing .
The deadline to register for participation in the Santa Clara County Fair is July 1 and the registration entry form can be downloaded online through the fair website. Entry forms must be submitted to participate in any of the contests, exhibits, and other competition events. For those wishing to perform through the entertainment division, applications are still being accepted through the fair’s website.
The fair is held at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds located on Tully Road. For more information on the event, contact 408-494-3143.
