The Pacific International Quilt Festival XXI, presented by Mancuso Show Management, is scheduled in Santa Clara over October 11 – 14 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Recognized as the largest quilt show on the west coast, the festival will bring an amazing collection of over 800 quilts, along with clothing textile art, to the city.
In addition to the display of artistic quilts, there will be several lectures and workshops which will be presented by instructors from all across the globe. Some of the workshops scheduled include Celtic design, Tahitian appliqué, Hawaiian quilting, animal portraits, dancing tees, quilt and textile photography, and many others.
A Merchants Mall, consisting of approximately 300 vendors, will offer machines, wearable art, fabrics and notions, and other supplies and ideas for quilting hobbyists and artists. There will also be a special exhibit on display featuring international entries and ribbon-winners from the World Quilt Competition XVI: On Tour.
Events of this size and quality usually require a great deal of planning, organization, and execution. Communication is paramount to ensure everyone interested is informed and kept up-to-date on the event. Local print companies can be therefore be extremely helpful in preparing materials to help merchandise the event. Poster printing is a frequent request as posters are inexpensive and can be printed in bulk. Banner printing also tends to be an important component in promoting an event, as banners serve as a readily visible advertisement when strategically placed.
