Zoo offers family Halloween fun for festival

‘Boo at the Zoo’ is a family Halloween festival at the Santa Ana Zoo. The zoo will offer various family activities during the festival, including safe trick-or-treating, educational animal presentations, and a costume parade.

The Zoo boasts that the atmosphere will be merry, not scary, while the costumed extravaganza is designed to allow children to have safe, Halloween fun. There will be a costume parade at the end of the event, so children are encouraged to dress in their costumes for the evening.

A haunted house called ‘Teen Scream’ will be offered for older kids, and will feature many thrills and chills. The entrance to the haunted house will be separate but the admission price is included with a ticket purchase.

Adult price is $10, children and seniors are admitted for $7, and members of the Zoo have free admittance. All children that are under two years old are free as well. Print companies are probably well underway with flyer and banner printing for the promotion of the festival. Tickets can be purchased on the Santa Ana Zoo website or at the door.

The Santa Ana Zoo is an accredited institute of the Assoc. of Zoos and Aquariums and strives to provide excellent animal care and a great experience for every visitor. Santa Ana Zoo is located in Prentice Park at 1801 E. Chestnut Ave. in Santa Ana, California.
This hair-raising event will be on the weekends of October 22 – 23 and 28 – 30 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. For more details on this fun family event, call 714-953-8555.
