Santa Ana swings for smiles

Residents in Santa Ana and the surrounding areas are getting ready for the Third Annual Healthy Smiles Golf Tournament. The event features dinner and a full 18 holes, all to support a good cause.

All proceeds for the event go to the Healthy Smiles nonprofit organization. First founded in 2002, the group is devoted to preventing tooth decay in the area, and works to achieve this through a combination of public education and low cost dental services such as mobile checkup vehicles and centers that provide dental procedures even under sedation. The tournament is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year and brings in tens of thousands of dollars.

The tournament is a full round of golf that can be paid for in packages of one, two, or six. Businesses can also choose to buy sponsorship packages, which include registration for two groups of four. Afterwards, dinner will be served at the golf course.

Sponsorships also include some marketing perks like a special mention on stage, introduction during the dinner, inclusion of the business’ name and logo design on five of the tees, and a booth at the registration area.

The Healthy Smiles Golf Tournament will take place on June 14 starting at 12:30 pm at the Oak Creek Golf Club, located at 1 Golf Club Dr. Registration begins at $225 for one golfer and goes up to $10,000 for a sponsorship. Anyone looking for more info should visit the website.
