San Mateo hosts Maternity Consignment Event

A week today, the Just Between Friends Kids and Maternity Consignment Event will get underway at the San Mateo Event Center in the Redwood Hall. It is the largest consignment sale in the peninsula area, offering maternity, baby and children’s clothing, toys, furniture, accessories, and other useful items.
An average savings of between 50-90% off regular retail prices are offered on over 35,000 items. Sellers earn 60% of the sale of their items and, if they volunteer their services during the event, the revenue increases to 65%
Events of this size regularly rely on the services of local printing companies to assist in producing materials needed to organize and promote the activities. Banner printing is an important step in ensuring appropriate and highly visible signage is positioned throughout the event for proper traffic direction.
Postcard printing is another useful method for economically announcing the upcoming event. Postcards are usually printed in full color on the front side using high resolution images and concise yet eye-attracting text. The back has some room for more text as well as the mailing label. As envelopes are not needed and there is a reduced cost for mailing, postcards have proven to be very affordable and effective marketing tools.
Event organizers are seeking volunteers and offering perks. Volunteers get to shop first and see all of the items pre-sale on Wednesday evening. On Friday night, volunteers receive 50% off pre-sale. As mentioned previously, volunteers also earn a higher percentage of sale proceeds.
Tickets are available online via the event website as well as volunteer registration. The event will be held March 7 – 9.
