Hats off to Education celebrates 10th Anniversary
January 28, 2013 by James
The Hats off to Education Spring Fling will celebrate its 10th Anniversary in just over a month’s time at the San Mateo Convention Center. The San Carlos fundraising event benefits district schools, from kindergarten through eighth grade.
The Spring Fling is hosted annually by the San Carlos Education Foundation and the PTA Coordinating Council. The gala auction event attracts participation and attendees from several cities within San Mateo County.
The Spring Fling will feature food, a wine wall, a raffle for great prizes (including a trip to Antigua), kids’ camps, teachers’ outings, parties, and sporting events – all set in themed entertainment. Raffle tickets are on sale at local schools. There will also be a silent auction, along with a live auction, set in themed entertainment throughout the evening.
The Fund-a-Need program provides a wonderful opportunity for contributors to support specific needs and areas within a school, or to assist with teacher development. This year, the district has asked for focus in the Fund-a-Need program to be placed in the areas of engineering, arts, math, science, and technology.
Fundraising projects often require print services from local printing companies. Promotion of the event is important to ensure maximum ticket sales and attendance. Postcard printing is a viable and economical method for announcing the event via direct mail, display points, and manual distribution.
Set for March 2, tickets for the Hats off to Education Spring Fling are available for purchase on the Spring Fling website. Sponsorships are still available at different levels – platinum, gold, and silver – and may be handled online as well.
