WIPRO San Francisco Marathon to get off and running this June

January 28, 2013 by

A great opportunity for San Fran runners to test themselves is planned for this June, as the 2013 WIPRO San Francisco Marathon is held.

The race will begin at the Embarcadero, with the route taking runners through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina and then onto the Golden Gate Bridge. A tour will be given through the prestigious Golden Gate Park, with runners proceeding onto Haight Street and on down to the Bay Bridge to the end of the race.

A USAFT certified course, the event counts towards qualification for the Boston Marathon. Registration is available online and fees include an official race technical shirt, a finisher’s coastal medal, and an electronic finisher’s certificate. Food and water will be provided at the finish line.

The Munchkin Kids Run provides an opportunity for children to participate while learning about the importance of fitness at all life stages. Registered children will receive a T-shirt, a signature dog-tag medal, and a bib. The Munchkin Kids Run will begin at 9:00 am on the day, with a choice of running a one-mile, half-mile, or 100-yard dash. Food and water will be available for the kids at the finish line.

Planning a marathon involves a great deal of effort and detail. Print companies are normally involved in providing signage, forms, and other print services. Promotional materials must be printed in advance, such as flyer printing. Flyers are used to distribute for the purpose of announcing the upcoming event and generating interest. They also serve as a nice memento of the event for those participating or attending.

More information about the WIPRO San Francisco Marathon, scheduled for June 16, is available on the event website, along with registration options.
