Polk Street Blues Festival celebration coming to San Francisco

September 26, 2012 by

The Polk Street Blues Festival is scheduled in San Francisco this weekend and the celebration will feature blues music utilizing two stages.

There will also be exhibitors displaying and selling unique crafts, art, and other fun items. Food vendors will be on hand offering a range of local snacks and treats.

The festival will take place over a two-day period and is featuring performances by Rattle Cans, Little Brown Brothers, Smooth Blues Band, and Andre Thierry. Produced by Steven Restivo Event Services in partnership with the Polk District Merchants Association, this is the only free blues festival in the San Francisco area.

There are many high profile sponsors involved in the Polk Street Blues Festival, including Zipcar, xfinity, yp.com, Ride the Ducks, and America’s Cup. Both vendor and sponsor applications are available on the Polk Street Blues Festival website.

Printing companies are frequently contacted to provide print services for events of this size. Poster printing tends to be a heavily requested service, as posters are an effective tool in promoting events in advance. Easily transported and generally hung against a flat service, they can be distributed economically and placed in highly visible locations.

Banner printing is another project that occurs for most festivals. Banners are usually displayed in a high position, drawing attention quickly and effectively. They can be used to highlight areas, performances, and vendors, as well as for directional purposes.
