Oktoberfest by the Bay

California’s huge celebration of Oktoberfest will come to the San Francisco area with Oktoberfest by the Bay. Presented in the authentic tradition of the famous festival in Munich, the festival will include music, dancing, singing and of course, the best of German food and beverages.

The event is held at Pier 48 which includes over 110,000 square feet of space and is located on the waterfront. The space is equivalent to four football fields.

The 21 piece Chico Bavarian Band will headline the stage and the Internationals will provide live music throughout the festival. The Deutscher Musikverein of San Francisco will also perform.

Adding to the line-up of entertainers, the Nature Friends Schuhplattler will provide music for Bavarian dancing, a tradition on Oktoberfests. Attendees are encouraged to celebrate the spirit and wear traditional Bavarian clothing called Trachten.

The United German-American Societies of San Francisco and Vicinity (UGAS) mission is always to organize and promote the German culture within the Bay area. German Day in San Francisco has been celebrated for 124 years.

Print companies typically assist in providing materials needed to promote Oktoberfest events. Poster printing is a common project as posters are effective tools in attracting attention quickly. They can be economical to produce en mass and easy to distribute. They can be placed on flat surfaces or placed in cylindrical tubes and mailed out. They can also be available at an event or festival and given away or sold as souvenirs.

The event is scheduled for September 20-22. Visit the event website for more information.
