Specialty coffee roaster opens in Little Italy

February 21, 2017 by

Lofty Coffee, a coffee roaster that already has shops open in the North County communities of Solana Beach and Encinitas, has opened a third spot in San Diego‘s Little Italy neighborhood.

The company is known in North County for its organic pastries, fresh coffee, and healthy breakfast choices, which it prepares with fresh ingredients from local farms. The new shop is on Cedar Street.

Lofty Coffee got its start in Encinitas in 2011, where it opened up a cafe on 101, the Coast Highway. Its production facilities, where pastries are baked and coffee is roasted, are also in Encinitas.

Lofty Coffee’s pastries are baked from scratch daily. The selections include cookies, muffins, and croissants, as well as pastries made without wheat. The company uses locally sourced ingredients to make almond milk, and presses fresh organic juices.

With Little Italy boasting a number of eateries that are offering healthy fare, Lofty Coffee should fit in well with its neighbors. Restaurants like this can benefit if they work with a flyer printing company to create a handout to be distributed at and near the new location during the opening, for several weeks afterward, and on special occasions. If coupons are included on the handout, and specials are described, people who might not try this type of restaurant might decide to stop in.
