San Diego residents should mark the calendar for one of the biggest events of the year in San Diego this summer.

The San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will attract over 32,000 runners to the coastal city. With over 55 live bands utilizing 30 stages set in the seaside climate found in San Diego, fitness and fun go hand and hand at the marathon.

Beginning at Balboa Park and concluding at SeaWorld, there will be a Finish Line Festival that will offer more entertainment, fantastic food, and great celebration. Runners may participate in a half marathon or the full marathon. Each runner receives a Brooks Technical Participant Shirt, an official finisher certificate and finisher’s medal, along with a packed swag bag. Runners will also be given free admission to the Finish Line Festival and Post Race Concert.

The San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon’s Team in Training supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with proceeds from the event. Registration is open and may be completed online through the event website.

Printing companies actively participate in city events by providing print products to help promote and manage. Marathon organizers usually use banner printing so they can hang banners throughout the region to promote attendance and participation. Banners are also used along the marathon route to guide the runners.

Several hotels in San Diego are offering special packages and room rates for marathon runners and their friends and family in preparation for the June 2 event. Local attractions are also offering discounts and deals to entice attendees to stay longer and enjoy all the city has to offer.
